Guess we're seeing the HKT treatment here, just like Sakura and Haruppi ranked pretty high on SSK, the center was still Meru. And here we have it again, Katomina ranked in SSK, but Rika is absurdly popular among fans, so i guess there's nothing to say, i really hoped Katomina to be center, but well, let's see if she can follow Haruppi's path and become center one day.

Honestly, this is not surprising me in the slightest bit. When I first knew Rika she indeed looked like she'll be one of the good fromt line girls. But I'll have to be honest and say that mostly everyone expected either okkapa or katomina as the center. Aside from yukitin and kitarie, she's the only NGT member to rank in the ssk and I actually had a feeling when she ranked that they won't do her justice anymore...just like how the management is -_- and out of nowhere, a big push for Rika all of q sudden. Rika is sweet and a fresh new idol but I don't think she's better than katomina.if this is the management way of telling the girl that she's not good enough yet then it's kinda stupid. But congratulations to Rika and i hope for a good single that'll represent NGT in a big way

You must be really stupid to still pretend that Katomina could center something. All she have is her athletic tricks and nothing more. After a while they become just "meh, she is doing them again".
I really don't like Rika that much (because Honma is the real diamond in NGT) but between Rika and Katomina Rika have way more fans and a better momentum.

Well, that was just my opinion. I do see that now Rika has a fanbase in NGT but the thing that I'm kinda disappointed in is that I wanted a new type of center. Each sister group's center has a good reason to be in that position, like Sayanee didn't become one because she hadalot of fans like Milky but when she stood as a center, Milky could not beat her in the ssk anymore. I have NOTHING at all against any girl and I appreciate their big efforts, but in my opinion, aside from her baton twerling which i never considered the reason for her to be the center, she has something slightly new and maybe the 1st single would have a new concept if she was a center. On the other hand all i see as the concept would be a cheerful Kawaii song that is just like HKT if Rika is choosen. But we'll see, it was just an opinion and i can't judge immediately..i just hope it turns out right cus everyone has been waiting for so long

Sayanee have music greatness + comedy skills and that is all she needs (she is even better than the current Bingo hosts) and namba case is like if team8 finally give Oda and Kurena the spot they deserve because of their musical skills.
I really can't see nothing special about Katomina, she is just 2nd row material at best since NGT have SO MANY good girls.

Exactly! That's what i love about sayanee and was glad for once that they give her a big spot bc of such reasons. But unfortunately, i don't think we'll see such a thing now, indeed team 8 is a true diamond team and they have so many good members but i don't think they'll give them a chance, cus that's what we've seen for the past decade in AKB. i just want a good song since I'm actually worried all the time of what concept should NGT have. Each sister group is different in concept so yeah, i don't think an idolish all sparkly and cute single is gonna do this fresh new group any good and it'll just seem like any other normal idol group song,cliché and unoriginal...and that's exactly what i 98% expect. It doesn't necessarily need to be katomina too..many of these fresh members will do just fine. The problem isn't centered on Rika, this group has a responsiblity to get their selves known better and I hope it doesn't crash down
