Total Sales of AKB48 Singles hit 50 million copies
AKB48's 48th single "Negaigoto no Mochigusare" has sold approximately 1,306,000 copies, combined all other single's sales, total singles and albums' sales of AKB48 reached over 50 million records (50,113,000 copies).
AKB48 is the first Japanese female idol group's CD sales hits over 50 million copies, and they are 4th top sellers of all Japanese artists, and 2nd of all female Japanese artists (Note: Hamasaki Ayumi's CD sales: 50,675,000 copies).
