AKB48 announces they will hold 3rd DRAFT Meeting in January 2018, and this time DRAFT members will be decided by AKB48 fans.

At AKB48 group Janken Tournamant 2017, Janken unit fairy w!nk (Aramaki Misaki and Unjo Hirona) beat FuuSae (Murase Sae and Yagura Fuuko) in final game to become 2017 Janken Queens, and they won the opportunity to release their own CD. The CD will be released on 13 December 2017

AKB48 will release DVD/Blu-ray for AKB48 Team 8 solo concert "Shinshun! Team 8 Festival" which held in TDC Hall in spring 2017, the digest video is revaled on official YouTube channel.

AKB48 member Watanabe Mayu will return to TBS music show UTAGE! 3-hours SP on 14 September 2017, she will be assistant to MC Nakai Masahiro again in the TV show.

AKB48 General Election 2017 Top 3 members Watanabe Mayu, Sashihara Rino and Matsui Jurina will be the be cover girls of Japanese magazine Weekly Playboy (August 14th 2017, No. 33), the magazine will come with TIF Complete Guide, it will be released on 31 July 2017.
